Your role & impact

As Senior Business Intelligence Analyst, you join a strong and international Business Intelligence team of over 6 other data enthusiasts with a multi-­country scope in a fast growing company in an exciting industry. You will be responsible for creating business impact through the analysis of quantitative and qualitative data, process improvements, project management and through strong collaboration with our business and tech team for two important ventures in our region, namely Vietnam and Thailand. In this pivotal role you work closely with colleagues from multiple departments across all functional levels and you have exposure to country as well as regional management team. Furthermore, you support in continuously improving our BI & data structure which powers our core dashboards, reporting, decision­making and tools.

Another key component to this role is working closely with business users to translate business needs into analytics and / or reporting requirements and providing decision makers with actionable business intelligence backed by data. You would be knowledgeable about the ecommerce metrics and analytics required to support functional areas of the business.

Scoping out projects through strong project management, business process mapping, process improvement, reporting & analytics, automation building, communication, organization and time management is critical for this role to positively impact the business.

Your Responsibilities

• Be the go to person for business analytics for our commercial teams in Vietnam and Thailand and create impactful dashboards for our brand partners
• Collaborate with business users to define analytics, reporting and automation solutions that meet business needs and work with the tech team to see those solutions through completion.
• Determine opportunities for process improvement using different technologies and spearhead implementation of projects deemed necessary to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
• Partner with various business units as a discussion partner to plan, strategize, and grow the business by enabling data- driven decision-­making
• Develop ad hoc analyses, reports and actionable insights including communication and presentation of findings to management.
• Serve as a data & insights consultant who simplifies complex terminologies into more understandable insights to our internal clients.
• Create automations for key operational processes to drive process efficiency
• Help drive data accuracy and consistency in data and reporting.
• Drive the standardization of data metrics and KPIs leveraging business process and data knowledge.
• Coach users on best-­practice uses of data and analytics and assist users in finding the right information.
• Train and provide support to users of BI reporting infrastructure.

Required Skills and Experience

• Minimum 3 years of experience in a role touching multiple BI facets: reporting & analytics, project management, automation, process improvement, business process mapping
• Strong data visualization skills using GDS, PowerBI, or other relevant visualization tools.
• Good working knowledge on SQL, Python, BigQuery building BI models and conducting data analysis, scraping tools
• Good understanding of ETL/ELT concepts
• Knowledgeable in eCommerce industry and start­up working environment
• Comfortable working with large data sets and numbers with strong grasp on numbers, and proficiency with excel
• Creative and innovative approach in solving problems
• Self­-starter and positive with a can-­do attitude
• Ability to work well independently and across various teams and multiple stakeholders
• Ability to make inferences from data and devise appropriate course of actions
• Care about learning new things and challenge the status quo to seek for improvement areas
• Good communication skills in English as well as Vietnamese

Tech & Tool Skillset

Intermediate to advanced skills on the following tools and / or languages:

• MS Excel
• SQL
• MS Visio / Flowcharting
• Knowledge of analytical and statistical techniques

Prefer if candidate have

• Experience with Google Cloud Platform and Big Query or other cloud­-based technology is a plus
• Netsuite and/or ERP system understanding is a plus
• Python a must, other languages are a plus
• Google Data Studio, BigQuery PowerBI is plus
